On Saturday, July 2, 2011, the Buzzards Bay Coalition held its 18th Annual Buzzards Bay Swim, a 1.2-mile open-water swim from New Bedford to Fairhaven. Tri-Town participants were included in the largest annual fundraising event held by the Bay Coalition. The Coalition is a non-profit, community-based organization dedicated to the restoration, protection, and sustainable use and enjoyment of the Bay and its watershed. Photo by Anne Kakley.
