At a February 12, 2010 Sippican Women’s Club meeting, author Michael Tougias gave a presentation on a book he co-authored with Casey Sherman entitled The Finest Hours: The True Story of the U.S. Coast Guard’s Most Daring Sea Rescue, which details the rescue of sailors after two oil tankers were ripped in half in a 1952 nor’easter.
