Hugh McGonagle, 74, is only days away from resuming light activity after suffering cardiac arrest on May 10 while out on the course at Rochester Golf Club. On Friday at the Senior Center, the Rochester Fire Department celebrated the team effort it took to save McGonagle’s life, starting with quick responses from his playing partners, CPR administered by a medical professional who happened to be playing an opposite-facing hole, followed by the intervention of the town’s first responders.
