Farewell to George

A large group of local residents gathered at the Ned’s Point Lighthouse in Mattapoisett on Thursday evening, September 4 to offer a final goodbye and tribute to the late George Liberty III, the owner of George’s Deli and Take-Out and a well-known and well-respected tri-town resident. Mr. Liberty and his wife, Bec, were quite fond of the scenic Ned’s Point locale, and would often go there to watch the sun set. (Photo montage courtesy of Carol Ingram).
