Mary Chaplain and Bobbi Gaspar led a group of eager participates as they learned the basics of sewing machine operation on March 18 at the Mattapoisett Public Library. The 11 ladies and one young, but experienced novice Brenna Carrier, 12, created covered pillows during the exercise.
