Dr. Robert Thorson spoke to a full house at the Marion Natural History Museum Friday night. Dr. Thorson spoke about the practical, as well as emotional, reasons why New Englanders love their stone walls. Just looking at a stone wall in its natural landscape can provide an insight into the history of Earth's formation. Stone walls are aesthetically beautiful, give us hints about our past, and provide important habitat functions for both plants and animals.
