Cub Scouts Pack 30 held its annual Pinewood Derby on Saturday, January 13 at Rochester Memorial School. The pinewood derby is a tradition that was started back in 1963 in Manhattan Beach, California and persists to this day. In addition to placing as the fastest cars, the scouts’ cars are also awarded for design and creativity. Photos by Jean Perry
