Where for many years stood a tall spruce tree at Sippican Elementary School is now a large stump at the center of a newly dedicated Children’s Memorial Garden honoring the lives of former students Marques Sylvia, Andrew Rego, Alexis Wisner and Cory Jackson. On June 14, Principal Marla Sirois led a celebration of the vision of former Principal Marylou Hobson (1990-2004) and the generosity and effort of Steve Gonsalves, Suzanna Davis, Margie Baldwin and the Pythagorean Lodge.
