Frozen Princesses347 viewsOn December 21, two princesses visited the Mattapoisett Public Library to read stories and sing songs from the Disney film Frozen. Princesses Elsa and Anna beguiled the children as well as their parents in an hour-long performance culminating in hugs and a photo session. Included in the project is interior work that will promote public safety in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic. Rockets347 viewsMattapoisett Library hosted Dr. Sandra Pearl of SEED Education on September 21. SEED is a regional, nonprofit organization run by Ph.D. scientists with a passion for empowering teachers with the confidence to instill a love of science in their students. Pearl led a group of eager students through science experiments geared to launching things into the air. There was age-appropriate physics, chemistry and just plain fun. The activity was made possible through a grant from the Mattapoisett Cultural Council.

Children and their grandparents had fun playing bean-bag toss, bocce, posing with the Three Stooges, and more. The face-painting and petting zoo areas were a complete hit!
