The shows start at 7:30 pm at Tabor’s Fireman Center for the Performing Arts in Hoyt Hall at 245 Front Street, Marion. The turnout exceeded past Kids Equipment Fun Day events in Marion, especially last year’s, which was repeatedly postponed and then canceled altogether. Usually held in New Bedford, race organizer Geoff Smith moved the race to Mattapoisett, flooding the village streets with hundreds of Santas – and a few Christmas miniature horses, as well. Princesses Elsa and Anna beguiled the children as well as their parents in an hour-long performance culminating in hugs and a photo session.
