Arts in the Park322 viewsThe Marion Art Center’s annual “Arts in the Park” event was greeted by a gorgeous weekend, as cars lined Marion’s streets and visitors strolled through Bicentennial Park, ducking into the shade of white tents to visit the many artisans and their goods. Santa's Arrival321 viewsMarion children gave a rock stars welcome to Santa Claus, who arrived at Marions Annual Holiday Stroll by boat on December 13. The pouring rain didnt stop Santa from spreading candy and holiday cheer to the crowd of exciting children. On Saturday, September 18, the Brad Barrows motorcycle run raised money for Tri-Town youth sports, and on Sunday, September 19, the Ride for Alex poker run raised money to offset medical costs for Alex Pateakos, a Marion boy who lives with Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA). Heritage Days 2011321 viewsChildren festooned their bicycles and enjoyed a ride around the village as a part of the 2011 Mattapoisett Heritage Days on August 6. Other Saturday activities included guided village tours, an evening concert and a treasure hunt.
