Klondike Derby361 viewsThe Klondike derby is a one-day competitive event at Camp Cachalot located in Myles Standish State Park, Carver, Massachusetts. The Klondike derby uses sledges and Klondike Gold Rush themes to compete in a multiple “Town” course, pitting each team’s skills and teamwork against the clock. The purposes of the derby are: first a grand outdoor winter adventure full of fun and surprises, and another way for Scout’s to test their basic camping and survival skills. This event is for Scouts only.

Relay for Life361 viewsIt rained down hard the night of the 9th annual Relay for Life at Old Rochester Regional, soaking the ground, the tents, and the participants – but it didn’t stop anyone from coming out anyway to walk for a cure and honor those who have battled cancer. Buzzards Bay Watershed Ride 361 viewsIt was a windy ride for the 120 participants of the 9th Annual Buzzards Bay Watershed Ride on October 4. From Westport to Falmouth, cyclists rode either the 75-mile or 35-mile route to raise funds for the Buzzards Bay Coalition, bringing in nearly $90,000. Mass Mini Tractor Pullers 361 viewsThe Rochester Country Fairgrounds hosted a tractor pull of the Mass Mini Tractor Pullers Association on October 10. The tractors are hand-built by their owners, using naturally-aspirated auto engines that are 500-1,000 horsepower.
