Santa's Arrival326 viewsMarion children gave a rock star’s welcome to Santa Claus, who arrived at Marion’s Annual Holiday Stroll by boat on December 13. The pouring rain didn’t stop Santa from spreading candy and holiday cheer to the crowd of exciting children. Penny Project326 viewsSince September 2009, the Marion Community Baptist Church has been participating in the Penny Project. Each Sunday, people dropped change into a collection jar on the communion table. On March 21, 2010, the Church presented two grants to two local agencies and two schools. Relay for Life326 viewsOver 200 Tri-Town residents gathered to help raise money for the American Cancer Society by participating in the fifth annual Relay for Life. The Relay started at 5:00 pm on Friday June 11 and continued until 12:00 pm on Saturday. Participants walked the track at ORR throughout the night and into the next afternoon as a way to honor cancer survivors and those who lost their battle to cancer. Personalized luminaria bags lined the track, lighting the way for the participants throughout the night.

With eight barns on the route, enthusiasts got to explore this fascinating part of the New England landscape.
