The Native American-themed ceremony was written by a local boy scout in the 1980s and performed by Boy Scout Troop 24 out of New Bedford. This year director Karen Della Cioppa has brought to the stage our favorite “the professor of facts,” Sherlock Holmes, and his assistant, Dr. John Watson, starring Ambrose Cole as Holmes and Nolan Bushnell as Watson. Tour de Crème371 viewsThis year’s 4th annual Tour de Crème raised $12,000 for outdoor recreation in Mattapoisett! There were 350 riders consuming over 1,200 scoops of ice cream all for a good cause. The evening will be a celebration of Marion's COA and launch the next phase of fundraising by the Friends of the COA for the build-out of floor-to-ceiling walls for existing office space, creating the necessary privacy for townspeople to take advantage of the growing number of services being offered at the Center.
