Waterman school, which was in the building that now houses the Rochester Fire Department, was the forerunner to RMS during the first half of the Twentieth Century. The tavern was decked out with themed trees, including a Barbie tree, a Hannukah tree, a Mallard duck tree, and even a tree decorated with recycled items like bottles and plastic bags. RMS Auction355 viewsRochester went Hollywood on Friday, March 26, 2010 when the Rochester Parent/Teacher Organization (PTO) hosted a live auction with a Hollywood theme. The auction raised nearly $6,000, and that money will be used to pay for new playground equipment. Items up for bidding included a basketball signed by the Boston Celtics, a day of kayaking, gift baskets and many more fun items. Photos by Felix Perez.

Police Dedication355 viewsThe public was invited to a building dedication and ceremony for the new Marion police station on July 10, 2010. The town appropriated $3.8 million for the new building, which replaces the old police station on Spring Street. Among those in attendance were Police Chief Lincoln Miller, the Marion police department, the Board of Selectmen, Town Administrator Paul Dawson, Plymouth County Sheriff Joseph McDonald and members of the Police Station Building Committee.
