Trash Fire400 viewsA trash truck was up in smoke on Long Plain Road in Mattapoisett last week. Before I knew it, engines and firemen appeared in full gear. Car Show Dreams399 views108 cars attended the “A Wish Come True” car show on October 11, 2009 at Rochester’s Plumb Corner. Each vehicle owner paid to attend the show, and the proceeds went to the organization, which works to grant wishes to children ages 3-18 who have been diagnosed with a life-threatening condition.

FD Open House399 viewsThe Marion Fire Department held an Open House on October 10, 2009. The public was welcome to tour the facilities, and children enjoyed exploring all the engines available at the station.
