SLT Oyster Fest 413 viewsThe Sippican Lands Trust’s Beer and Oyster Fest fundraiser was a hit despite the threat of approaching Hurricane Dorian, which was replaced with blue skies just in time, and holding the event earlier in the day mitigated the guests’ exposure to EEE-carrying mosquitos. Mattapoisett Fire Department 413 viewsOn March 6 at approximately 10:09 am, the Mattapoisett Fire Department was dispatched to 141 Fairhaven Road for a reported structure fire. Fire Chief Andrew Murray arrived on scene at 10:11 am and reported heavy fire and smoke showing from the rear of the structure. At the time, a first-alarm assignment was requested to the scene, bringing in engines from Marion and Fairhaven Fire. Rochester Fire responded to Mattapoisett fire station for station coverage. Relay for Life412 viewsThe American Cancer Society held their Annual Relay for Life of the Tri-Towns from 6:00p.m. on Friday, June 12 until noon on Saturday June 13 at Old Rochester Regional High School's track. 4th of July Parade412 viewsThe Sun finally broke through the clouds to help make for a glorious Tri-Town Fourth of July weekend highlighted by Marion's annual Independence Day Parade, hosted by the Benjamin D. Cushing Post 2425 Veterans of Foreign Wars.
