This school and its students sparked the “age of discovery” which culminated with the discovery of the Americas and also a sea route to Asia. Road Race Scholars931 viewsOn August 3 in Mattapoisett’s Shipyard Park, seven ORR High School graduates and runners each received a $1,000 scholarship award from the proceeds of the Mattapoisett Road Race held on July 4. ORR Athletic Phonathon931 viewsThe ORR Athletic Booster Club (ORRABC) will hold their annual Phonathon Fundraiser from March 4 - March 20, 2008. Funds raised by the Booster Club have been used to enhance the school’s athletic facilities and to purchase equipment used by all of the teams. Last year the ORR Girls’ Track Team (pictured here) purchased a golf cart using their team funds raised through Booster Club calendar sales which is used by the school’s athletic trainer to respond to athletes in need of care.
