A parade began at the Dexter Lane baseball complex and made its way to Gifford Park, where ORYB’s David Arancio recognized the many years of service from Derek Mello, Peter Vieira and David Nelson, who all threw ceremonial first pitches. ORR sophomores performed a Wizard of Oz skit, and the ORR Bulldog joined Dorothy and company. The seniors displayed a "Back in Time/Back to the Future" theme, featuring a cleverly constructed “Delorean,” a colorful aerobics class, lots of action and energetic music with Marty McFly and Doc Brown characters joined by the heroic Bulldog.

Tri-Town firefighters71 viewsThe holidays were challenging for Tri-Town firefighters. Marion and Rochester fire departments were among towns assisting Wareham after a mulch pile in a remote location off County Road caught fire on Christmas Eve. Firefighters worked in cold temperatures for eight hours, dispensing approximately 200,000 gallons of water to extinguish the fire.
