St. Gabriel’s Episcopal Church103 viewsOn February 21, St. Gabriel’s Episcopal Church in Marion celebrated Fat Tuesday with a Mardi Gras party. We ate delicious food and played lots of great games. Many thanks to the Youth Group for all their hard work preparing the evening’s Louisiana-style foods and for leading the games. Everyone was invited to bring and share their favorite dish or dessert and enter the Mardi Gras Cookoff. The winners were crowned this year’s Mardi Gras queens. Photos courtesy of Tanya Ambrosi

Marion Natural History Museum 103 viewsThe Marion Natural History Museum wishes to thank Paul Gregory for sharing his collection of shells and fossils with students who wish to start their own. Along with perusing guidebooks to identify an item, we learned the importance of the history of the artifact, where and when it was collected and by whom. Natural history museums are wonderful resources for students, artists and scientists.
