Marion Natural History Museum114 viewsThe Marion Natural History Museum’s after school group wishes to thank Michael and Hannah Moore for allowing us to explore their wonderful island. We learned how to recognize different shellfish and crabs, as well as some of the various salt marsh plants. We also had fun visiting with a couple of friendly donkeys during our exploration. Thank you for sharing this experience with our group. Museum open hours are Wednesday and Friday all day as well as some Saturday hours (please call ahead first).

Wylie Chair of Maritime Strategy at the Naval War College in Newport, Rhode Island, spoke to Marion citizens gathered at Old Landing for Veterans Day observances on November 11. Also speaking were Select Board Chair Norm Hills, Town Administrator Jay McGrail, and the Reverend Eric E. Fialho, rector of St. Gabriel’s Episcopal Church. Supporting with their participation were Marion Cub Scouts and the Sippican Elementary School Band under the direction of Hannah Moore.
