Select Board Chairman Randy Parker visited with museum volunteers, and children enjoyed a wide range of summer activities. Marion Natural History Museum155 viewsOn October 12, the Marion Natural History Museum hosted Chris Reddy, senior scientist at Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, who specializes in marine pollution and petroleum geochemistry. Reddy became interested in plastics in 2008 when he worked with Dr. Kara Lavender Law at Sea Education Association to study the distribution and chemical composition of plastic in the North Atlantic Ocean. The event was hosted by an ad hoc group collecting donations for those battling cancer.
