Saint Gabriel’s Episcopal Church118 viewsThe youth group at Saint Gabriel’s Episcopal Church Marion hosted a party after church last Sunday. It was The Souper Bowl of Caring. They decorated for the tailgate party, cooked delicious food to share, nachos, sliders, sloppy Joes and much more. Marion Natural History Museum118 viewsDespite having to reschedule the trip due to poor weather, October 3 was a perfect day to explore. We learned a little about the history of the structures that were built and destroyed during different winter storms and the Hurricane of 1938 which wiped out everything but the lighthouse. We heard that the lighthouse was built in 1819, and the original lighthouse keeper was William S. Moore.
