Mattapoisett Woman’s Club Garden Group152 viewsRed, white, and blue was Sharon Doyon’s vision of the Mattapoisett Woman’s Club Garden Group as 18 members gathered at the library to plant on May 26 in areas including the pots at the Mattapoisett Historical Society and Town Hall, window boxes at the post office and Town Beach house, the lighthouse garden at the harbor, plus the gardens and planters at the Mattapoisett Free Public Library.

Marion 4th of July Parade152 viewsMarion Town Administrator Jay McGrail and Select Board members Norm Hills, John Waterman, and Randy Parker walked the Independence Day parade route on Monday morning along with veterans, marching bands, Boy and Girl Scout troops, youth baseball teams, decorated floats, fire engines, and a convoy of antique cars. Nolan Fest152 viewsThe first-ever Nolan Fest was held on July 11 at Silvershell Beach in Marion to honor the late Nolan Gibbons, who tragically passed away on August 18, 2020. The festival featured live music and words presented by area and national contributors, along with video tributes and a fire show. Dog Walk Fundraiser152 viewsFreemin Bauer with his five-year-old sibling bulldogs Mia and Louie during Saturday’s dog walk fundraiser held at Center School in Mattapoisett. Six years ago, Bauer was an eagle scout who donated his first dog-walking fundraising collection to an animal shelter in Fairhaven.
