Sippican Elementary Car Wash162 viewsSippican Elementary sixth graders turned Saturday's car wash into a fire engine wash, creating a waterfall of suds and having the kind of fun kids normally associate with what happens on the weekends before school is back in session. Organized by Volunteers at Sippican Elementary (VASE), the school's 501(c)(3) non-profit parent-teacher organization, the event held at the Marion school's bus loop off Main Street raised money for the students' mountain classroom trip, a three-day excursion planned for June 20

(M.O. L.I.F.E.) non-profit food pantry in Fairhaven. Photos by Mick Colageo and Reade Whinnem

Tanker Donation162 viewsThis surplus tanker truck has been repaired and prepared by the Town of Rochester for its impending transport to the fire department in Cayce, Kentucky, a small town devastated by a December 10 tornado. Rochester’s donation is a good fit because the tanker truck was recently replaced and serves the dual purpose necessary to serve a town without fire hydrants. Photos by Mick Colageo
