Marion Christmas Stroll 177 viewsCars lined several Marion streets as residents gathered for the town’s Christmas Stroll on December 12. Front Street and connecting village roads were partially closed for the event, as families enjoyed refreshments provided by area merchants at their doorsteps and along the roads. Clydesdale horses escorted Santa Claus and passengers, while the Sippican Elementary School Band played, Tabor Academy student singer Wesley Lai of Hong Kong sang, and a bike rider juggled bowling pins. Christmas Day Plunge177 viewsAt 94, Bob Humphrey was the elder statesman participating in the Christmas Day plunge held at Mattapoisett Town Beach, which including 47 swimmers and raised $2,595 in donations for the benefit of Helping Hands & Hooves.
