The group members have put in countless hours planting this and other beds from Shipyard Park to Ned’s Point to commemorate the town’s 150th birthday. This program is open to people of all ages and does not require any kind of reservation. The menu for this new endeavor is simple, hearty and inexpensive. A full breakfast of eggs, a drink, potatoes and toast will cost a diner under $5. The menu is as varied as it is delicious and meals are prepared to order, unlike most fast food restaurants. This annual “Terror Tradition” is hosted by the father and son team of Richard and Matthew Brodeur to benefit local Shriner’s Hospitals. The yard is open to visitors — if you dare! — every Friday and Saturday night from dusk until 9:30 pm and on Sundays from dusk until 9:00 pm throughout the month of October, including Halloween night.
