Rochester Memorial Day Boat Race195 viewsIt rained, again, for the Rochester Memorial Day Boat Race on Monday, May 29, but that never stops the participants from paddling the 14 miles of the Mattapoisett River that winds from Grandma Hartley’s Reservoir in Snipatuit Pond in Rochester all the way to the Herring Weir in Mattapoisett off River Road and Route 6. Cat Tails and Cocktails 195 viewsIt’s All About the Animals last Thursday held an invitation-only cocktail party to celebrate the opening of its new addition and “catio” (cats + screened-in patio= catio). The addition was dedicated to contractor Matthew Sherman, who passed away before completion of the project.
