RMS C.A.R.E.S.320 viewsThe fourth-graders at Rochester Memorial School put on a presentation on Thursday, January 26, called RMS C.A.R.E.S. Each fourth grade class represented a word comprising the C.A.R.E.S. acronym: Cooperation, Assertiveness, Responsibility, Empathy, and Self-Control. More than a dozen scouts took part in at least five races, with the fastest finishers pitted against each other down the stretch. The pinewood derby is a tradition that was started back in 1963 in Manhattan Beach, California and persists to this day.
