Marion Natural History Museum203 viewsOn December 12 the Marion Natural History Museum’s afterschool program held it’s annual nature craft party/program. This year, due to ongoing construction at the Museum the party was held in the Sippican School Community Room. Students made baskets, ornaments, pincushions and other items from natural materials. New Year Plunge203 viewsOn January 1, 2013, Mattapoisett Town Beach played host to a New Year’s polar plunge fundraiser. The event, which attracted over 400 people, raised money to benefit BAM Foundation, Inc., a New Bedford non-profit which donates money to South Coast families dealing with members who have cancer. The 2013 Winter Members Exhibition features over 60 works by about 30 local artists, some well-known and some new to the local art scene. This is the first of two bi-annual shows that showcase work by members of MAC, from oil paintings to multi-media. Check out some of the great art work being created by Tri-Town artists.
