Marion Natural History Museum288 viewsMany thanks to the Blue Hill Audubon's Trailside Museum and the Marion Cultural Council for the fun program last Friday night. Participants were able to get up close and personal with two very different looking Eastern box turtles, a spotted turtle, and a very long black rat snake. We also discussed timber rattlesnakes and how to properly pick up a turtle to help it get across the road safely. Be aware, they may get upset and emit some fluid onto your leg so best to hold at a distance from your body!
