Marion Natural History Museum270 viewsOn Wednesday, the Marion Natural History Museum's after school group brought in their collections of rocks and minerals, coins, coral, and even Star Wars figures. We spoke about the history of collecting nature-related artifacts worldwide, beginning with "cabinets of curiosities" owned by individuals through modern day museums, and how studying these specimens helps us gain historic perspective. The group explored the museum's collections of minerals, shells, bird eggs and nests, among many other items.

Hundreds upon hundreds of little ghosts, ghouls, and goblins took to the streets to show off their costumes and follow it up with some treats (no tricks) and refreshments at the Marion Music Hall, sponsored by those very kind witches at the Marion Art Center. Pizza with Santa270 viewsIt’s never Christmas in Marion until you’ve sat on Santa’s lap followed by a slice of pizza. Sunday was the annual Pizza with Santa, hosted by the Marion Police Brotherhood.
