The Scouts are honored to have such an amazing vessel offered to them and plan to use it in future outings. Pictured are Paul S. During the program the students had a chance to view videos of hatchling turtles, learn a little about sea turtle biology, and handle some live terrapins. Breakfast with Santa186 viewsMarion’s Police Brotherhood held its 3rd annual toy drive and pancake breakfast with Santa at Sippican School on December 6. Families were asked to bring new unwrapped toys, and in return they were given a delicious pancake breakfast and a photo with Santa. The toys are being donated to the Justice Resource Institute, which provides a wide range of services to at-risk families and individuals. Photos by Marilou Newell

Marion Village Stroll186 viewsThere were hundreds strolling the streets during the 2014 Marion Holiday Stroll on December 14. Celebrity sightings included Santa Claus on his carriage, the Grinch, the Nutcracker, and Sparky the Fire Dog. The Showstoppers and The Sippican School Marching Band lit up the afternoon until the tree lighting ceremony lit up the night, the finale of that starry-skied evening. Chemistry of Tie Dye186 viewsThe Marion Natural History Museum's last afterschool program of this school year featured "Chemistry of Tie Dye" with Chemist Jessica Robidoux and coordinated by Dr. William (Toby) Dills of UMass Dartmouth's Chemistry Department. The Museum wishes to thank Ms. Robidoux, Dr. Dills, and all the many volunteers who showed up to help with the program.
