Maxwell, the organist and choir director of the First Congregational Church in Marion for 57 years, will be honored at a retirement celebration service on Sunday, September 9, followed by an 11:00 am reception in the community center. Billís service has spanned the terms of seven ministers and three interim ministers. He has provided musical direction for well over 2,300 services.

In addition they have saved 18 cubic yards of landfill space and 11098 KWH of electricity, which prevented 5.42 tons of carbon dioxide from being released into the atmosphere.
