Nightmare at 13202 viewsThe Marion Recreation Committee hosted a Nightmare at 13 Atlantis Drive Haunted House Tour on Saturday October 27th. The fund raiser was originally scheduled to run for two nights and to include Sunday but was cancelled due to Hurricane Sandy. This year, due to ongoing construction at the Museum the party was held in the Sippican School Community Room. Students made baskets, ornaments, pincushions and other items from natural materials. Pinewood Derby202 viewsOn Saturday, March 2nd 2013, The Cubs Scout Pack 32 held a pinewood derby at the Community Hall of the Congregational Church in Marion. The results were 1st Lucas Marcolini, 2nd Brendan Hubbard, 3rd Nathaniel Bangs, and 4th Nate Robertson. All four move on to regional finals in New Bedford later this month. Bird Island Trip202 viewsThe Marion Natural History Museum after-school group enjoyed another perfect trip to Bird Island with the Marion Harbormaster’s Department. The students saw the arrival of some of the first terns back to the island, along with a couple of Oystercatchers and their eggs.
