Thank you to all the volunteers who made this such a happy and fun-filled event. Many, many thanks to Grace Moran for her kind donation of frames complete with glass, which the students used to create their own masterpieces for gift-giving. Dr. Thorson spoke about the practical, as well as emotional, reasons why New Englanders love their stone walls. Just looking at a stone wall in its natural landscape can provide an insight into the history of Earth's formation. Stone walls are aesthetically beautiful, give us hints about our past, and provide important habitat functions for both plants and animals.
