Opening Night is Thursday, November 3 and the show runs daily until Sunday, November 6. Boots332 viewsMarion resident ‘Boots’ the cat, AKA ‘Mr. Boots’ is a familiar sight to neighbors of Little Neck Village in Marion when he takes his owner Suzanne Peterson out for a walk around his little world several times a day with his little cat collar and leash. Mr. Boots is a regular passing by the doors of his neighbors who give him treats and bid him a good day before he leads Peterson off on their merry way. Photos by Marilou Newell

Tabor Academy Polar Plunge332 viewsTabor Academy hosted its second annual Polar Plunge on Sunday, January 21 at Silvershell Beach to raise money for the school’s Special Olympics Young Athletes Program. Students from ‘fundraising rival’ Sandwich High also showed up, with scores of students and staff making a dash in and quickly out of the chilly waters. The plunge raised about $8,000. Santa’s boat docked at the Marion Wharf where the faces of hundreds of children lit up at his arrival. Santa boarded a horse-drawn carriage and paraded through the streets, passing businesses offering free goodies and dodging the whereabouts of that old Grinch who didn’t seem to mind Christmas coming at all this year.
