Evening on Sippican Harbor351 views(L-R) Marion party planners Joan Asker, MaryAnn Hayes, & Jori Borden set the stage for an "Evening on Sippican Harbor" to be held on August 7 from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm. The evening will be a celebration of Marion's COA and launch the next phase of fundraising by the Friends of the COA for the build-out of floor-to-ceiling walls for existing office space, creating the necessary privacy for townspeople to take advantage of the growing number of services being offered at the Center.

Pizza with Santa351 viewsThe Marion Police Brotherhood held its annual Pizza with Santa at the Benjamin D. Cushing Community Center on Sunday, December 8. ‘Chief’ Santa and Mrs. Claus entertained the little ones before enjoying a pizza lunch. All over Marion, there were people in day-glo vests working with Manducas, long pincers made by Marion resident Eunice Manduca for picking up trash. Klondike Derby350 viewsThe Klondike derby is a one-day competitive event at Camp Cachalot located in Myles Standish State Park, Carver, Massachusetts. The Klondike derby uses sledges and Klondike Gold Rush themes to compete in a multiple “Town” course, pitting each team’s skills and teamwork against the clock. The purposes of the derby are: first a grand outdoor winter adventure full of fun and surprises, and another way for Scout’s to test their basic camping and survival skills. This event is for Scouts only.

Marion Veterans Day Observance350 viewsDuring the Marion Veterans Day observance on Friday morning, the townspeople of Marion expressed a heartfelt thank you to the Benjamin D. Cushing VFW Post 2425, which in return gave a moving farewell as it disbanded this year and donated the VFW building to the town.
