Family Fun Festival 343 viewsFamilies came out in record numbers to enjoy the 4th Annual Fall Free Family Fun Festival sponsored by the Mattapoisett’s Lion Club on October 19 held at Shipyard Park. Bruce Rocha of the club estimated attendance at over 400. Kids and adults alike enjoyed free face painting, bowling with pumpkins, a corn hole toss, snacks, hayrides to Ned’s Point and, yes, free pumpkins to take home. Mattapoisett Woman's Club343 viewsThis past Saturday, the Mattapoisett Woman's Club (MWC) planted daffodil bulbs at several sites in town. The MWC is grateful for the donations from the Lion's Club, Mahoney's, and the Mattapoisett Highway Department for preparing the various places for planting. Princesses Elsa and Anna beguiled the children as well as their parents in an hour-long performance culminating in hugs and a photo session.
