Rows of vendors peddled their fun wares while visitors of all ages enjoyed music, conversation and the best strawberry shortcake in the world. Harbor Days366 viewsAnother year, another Harbor Days, and another successful effort on behalf of the Mattapoisett Lions Club to raise funds for the good of the community. Harbor Days this year was indeed a hot one, but most agreed that a heat wave was preferable to the rainy washout experienced in prior years. Photos by Jean Perry

Christmas Holiday Shop365 viewsSt. Anthonys and St. Ritas parishioners combined efforts to give the community a Christmas Holiday Shop and Celebration on Saturday, December 5, 2009. The basement of St. Anthonys church was decked out in snowflakes, wreaths, bells, bows, and a Santa sleigh. Santa listened patiently as children told him what they wanted for Christmas. A beautiful bake table tempted visitors with gooey confections and warm malasadas were enjoyed by all. Photo by Anne OBrien-Kakley.
