Poker Run404 viewsMotorcyclists gathered Sunday morning, September 20, in the parking lot of ORR to ride in the third annual Poker Run for Alex Pateakos. Alex is a five-year-old Marion boy who suffers from Spinal Muscular Atrophy. Money raised by the poker run will benefit Alex, and Families of SMA, a group that helps families like the Pateakos’ live their lives as close to normal as possible. March is Reading Month404 viewsThe students at Center School in Mattapoisett honored the month of the Young Reader and Dr. Seuss’ birthday on March 2. Children came dressed in stripes, wearing hats and toting copies of their favorite Dr. Seuss books. The cafeteria served green eggs and ham for lunch, and throughout the day, everyone enjoyed many of the wonderful books that Dr. Seuss wrote.
