Spot137 viewsRochester Memorial School students were treated on Tuesday afternoon to an educational exhibition of the dog-like robot "Spot," a $200,000 machine of which there are approximately 1,500 in the world, according to Kevin Garell, a Rochester resident who works for Waltham-based Boston Dynamics, the manufacturer of the robot. Volunteers at Sippican Elementary134 viewsVolunteers at Sippican Elementary (VASE) hosted their fourth Boosterthon Fun Run fundraiser last week. VASE works with Booster, a company that helps raise funds for enrichment activities such as in-school performances, field trips and afterschool programs. Students reached out to friends, family and businesses across 30 states and 7 countries; 87 percent of the student body registered with 79 percent earning donations for Sippican.
