The young bikers arrived with the goal of pedaling their way towards raising $10,000 in the fight to find a cure for cancer. This year 21 teams of walkers raised more than $60,000 before the first step had been taken on Friday night — more than tripling the total amount of money raised in the first year of the walk-a-thon in 2005.
