The new $50,000 Ford vehicle, which was approved under Article 5 of the 2006 Annual Town Meeting warrant as part of the town’s new Capital Equipment Plan, will allow rescue workers to carry all the latest state-of-the-art equipment to emergency scenes. The pilots use charts provided by the United States Government to determine if the thickness of the ice is enough to support the weight of their airplanes.
