WINDFALL, sailed by Tom Kenney of the New Bedford Yacht Club and Bob Jackson of Cohasset, took First Place, edging out Second Place finisher Bob Sachetti of Boston, who was single handing YOUNG AMERICA.

Bulldog Breakfast297 viewsThe Old Rochester Regional Football team recently had a team breakfast at St. Anthony's Church in Mattapoisett. The Bulldogs had a guest speaker, Neil Cooper, a former NFL player who played for the Green Bay Packers under Vince Lombardi in the 1960's. Mr. Cooper spoke about the value of the team and the lessons learned from football and Fr. Mullaney of St. Anthony's gave the team blessing.

Several hundred youngsters marched from the green in front of the First Congregational Church to their field of dreams, Gifford Park, to mark the opening of the 2007 baseball season. Once a year, a team travels down from Canada, and while the Seawolves were not victorious, the game proved to be a learning experience for the players facing off in an international match up.
