The talented singing group held their Disaster Relief Concert, “Rockin’ Through The Ages,” on November 5 in a packed hall at the Knights of Columbus in Mattapoisett. Wanderer Model1182 viewsThis intricately detailed model of the whaling bark Wanderer was built by David Barker and Neale Birdsall, both of Marion, and was commissioned by Mr. Barker for his private maritime collection. Mr. Barker has maintained a lifelong fascination with the whaling ship which dates back to his father’s finding artifacts from the historic vessel floating in the water just after it was destroyed on the rocks off Cuttyhunk Island in 1924.
