Massachusetts Bureau of Forestry31 viewsJames Rassman, Southeast District service forester from the Massachusetts Bureau of Forestry, spoke on tree identification in winter months during his February 15 trip to Washburn Park. Steve Denette12 viewsSteve Denette was raised on a farm in Western Massachusetts, surrounded by the wilderness, something he found both comforting and inspiring. Whether it’s leading month-long, wilderness courses, mountaineering in Yosemite or forging Class IV white water in an open canoe, Steve seems to have done it all. But one thing he’s yet to tackle is the art of sailing.Feb 22, 2023

Sunday Squash15 viewsChildren and adults enjoyed playing squash on Sunday at Tabor Academy, thanks to a clinic put on by the Seawolves’ squash coach Guillermo Moronta. Without access to the sport anywhere between Boston and Providence besides prep schools, Moronta is hoping clinics like last weekend’s will “grow the game” and eventually generate the interest to support a middle-school program in the area. And should that happen, squash as a high school sport becomes a conversation. Photos by Mick ColageoFeb 15, 2023
