Practically Penguins 18 viewsThe waterfowl in the harbors, rivers, and estuaries of Mattapoisett over the weekend got a taste of what it’s like to be penguins. They are seen here huddling for warmth, scavenging for food, and sharing the tight spaces of whatever scarce water surface area remained Sunday at sunset. Photos by Jean PerryJan 10, 2018

Strengthening Families Fair51 viewsThere was so much to do and discover on March 1 at the “Strengthening Families Fair”, funded by the Department of Early Education & Care, and coordinated by the Old Rochester Regional School District. The gymnasium at the ORR High School was set up like a kids’ wonderland, with art projects, reading activities, brightly-colored gymnastics equipment, a flowing rainbow parachute, and…everyone’s favorite local children’s music group, “the Toe Jam Puppet Band.” Photo by Jean Perry
