The Pilgrim Sands Trail Riders Club recently “paid it forward” after two successful competition events held at the Mattapoisett Landfill.
Riders of all ages entered several categories of competition in different age groups.
The events at the landfill attracted more than 200 riders competing in the short course hare scramble events this year at the Mattapoisett venue.
Chairpersons of the event Bruce Rocha Jr. and Jodi Bauer stated that in addition to supporting their adopted charity, Cystic Fibrosis the club was able to give donations to the Mattapoisett Fire and Police Depts. as well as Mattapoisett Boy Scout Troop 53.
A vote of appreciation is extended to the Mattapoisett Board of Selectmen for their support in helping the events to become reality. The Club plans to return to the Mattapoisett venue in the upcoming 2013 season.
