Meet the Author -Not sure what to give Mom for Mother’s Day? Former Mattapoisett resident and author Jennifer  Trainer Thompson will be speaking at the Mattapoisett Library on Saturday, May 12th at 2 pm about her new cookbooks.  Both “Fresh Egg Recipes” and “Hot Sauce!” will be available for purchase and signing. In addition, her popular book “The Joy of Family Traditions” will also be available. Stop buy and purchase a copy to have signed for that special mom or cook in your life. This program will be in lieu of the May 1 Cooks and Books meeting.

Breakfast for Dinner – Join the Friends of the Library on Thursday, May 3 from 5:30 to 7:30 pm when Breakfast for Dinner is served.  Delicious quiche, stuffed French toast, juices, breakfast meats, fruit and much more will be available at the library. Tickets are on sale in the library and at Panino’s, who is catering the event. Call to reserve your seats and pay at the door. Children under five years old are free.

Friends’ Used Book Sale – There are many book bargains to be had for both adults and children at the Friends’ Used Book Sale on Saturday, May 12th from 10 am to 1 pm. Stop by and help yourself to a bag of books for $10 or to individually priced books.  The Jr Friends are holding a bake sale at the library and a can and bottle collection from 9 am to 10 am.
